PICTools JPEG 2000 JPIP Demonstration

Pegasus Imaging provides JPEG 2000 (Part 9) JPIP technology within the PICTools software development kit (SDK). The JPIP standard is designed to speed optimize network viewing of user selectable resolutions and areas of interest on JPEG 2000 images. The advantage of this client-server technology is the speed at which regions of interest of any image are delivered and viewed, at a desired resolution, without having to download the entire image file. This JPIP technology is available in the PICTools MedX and PICTools Photo SDKs.

Please use this demonstration as an introduction to the applicability of JPIP. We encourage software developers to download the full featured evaluation version of PICTools to evaluate the functionality further. Contact a Pegasus Imaging representative for more information.
